JAPANESE HEAD SPA
WHAT IS THE JAPANESE HEAD SPA?
The origins of the Japanese head spa trace back to traditional Japanese culture and practices that prioritize holistic health and beauty. In ancient Japan, the concept of maintaining a healthy scalp and hair was deeply ingrained in daily life. Japanese men and women relied on natural ingredients like camellia oil, rice water, and seaweed extract to care for their hair and scalp. These ingredients were known for their nourishing and healing properties.
Over time, traditional Japanese head massages, known as "kamiwaza" or "head rubbing," became popular for promoting relaxation and improving scalp circulation. These gentle massage techniques were believed to stimulate hair growth, relieve tension, and enhance overall well-being. As Japan modernized and globalized, the traditional head massage evolved into the contemporary head spa experience that we know today.
Upon arrival at the Japanese head spa, you can expect a comprehensive and rejuvenating experience designed to enhance your scalp health and overall well-being. Here is a step-by-step guide of what to expect during your visit:

1. Scalp Analysis The session typically begins with a thorough scalp analysis conducted by a trained specialist. Through this analysis, the expert will assess the condition of your scalp, identify any issues such as dryness, oiliness, or sensitivity, and customize the treatment based on your specific needs.
2. Scalp Exfoliation and Deep Clean
Following the scalp analysis, the next step involves a gentle yet effective exfoliation and deep cleansing of the scalp. This process helps to remove build-up of dead skin cells, excess oil, and impurities that may be clogging the hair follicles, allowing for better absorption of nutrients and treatment products.
3. Scalp Massage
One of the highlights of the Japanese head spa experience is the invigorating scalp massage. Using a combination of specialized techniques and high-quality oils, the therapist will massage your scalp to improve blood circulation, promote relaxation, and stimulate hair growth. The massage not only feels incredibly soothing but also helps to relieve tension and stress.
4. Treatment Application
After the scalp massage, specific treatments tailored to address your scalp concerns will be applied. These treatments may include nourishing oils, serums, or masks designed to hydrate, strengthen, and revitalize the scalp and hair follicles.
5. Steam Therapy (Optional) We offer an optional steam therapy session following the application of treatments. Steam helps to open up the hair follicles, allowing the products to penetrate deeper and maximize their effectiveness. It also aids in detoxification and promotes a sense of relaxation.
6. Rinse and Waterfall relaxation
The final step of the Japanese head spa treatment involves rinsing off the applied products and styling applying the final steps as desired. You can expect to leave the spa with a rejuvenated scalp, luscious locks, and a sense of well-being that comes from indulging in a holistic and pampering experience.
Embark on a journey of self-care and scalp rejuvenation with a Japanese head spa treatment, where ancient practices meet modern wellness for a truly transformative experience.
